Ain Al-Sukar is considered Tabuk's oldest eye in the region and carries with it a history full of tender being one of the most important historical and archaeological places; Ain Al Sukkar gained its importance from the arrival of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, to it in the ninth year of immigration, drinking it and using it for ablution during the Battle of Tabuk where he wash His hands and face were generous, then he returned it, and the eye exploded with plenty of water, so people drew from it, then he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to his companion, “Forbid, if a long life takes you to see what is here, it is full of paradise.” The ruins of Ain Tabuk consist of Ain al-Sukkar and Ain al-Barak, which is built on it. It was a well of little water when the Prophet Muhammad came to Tabuk, then its water flowed on his hand, and it continued as a source of water in Tabuk throughout the periods of Islamic history. The Rashidun Caliph Omar Ibn Al-Khattab ordered Ibn Gharid to fold it for fear that the sand would bury it. There were two pools on Ain Tabuk in the Mamluk era that were restored more than once during the Ottoman era, and they are located at the present time next to the castle
